Band Booster IELTS is a one-person service run by Mike, based in Hanoi, Vietnam. It offers one-to-one online IELTS and General English lessons over Google Meet, online lesson packs, and practice tools. By booking a lesson or buying a pack you accept these terms.

No guarantee of any band score

Band Booster IELTS does not guarantee any IELTS band score or any other result. Nothing on this website, in a lesson, in a lesson pack, in a written report or in any message promises that you will reach a particular band, pass a test, be admitted to a university, receive a visa or reach a goal by a certain date. Your result depends on your own preparation, practice and performance on the day of the exam. Past students’ results shown on this website are individual examples and do not predict yours.

Estimates are not official results

Any band, score or level that appears in a lesson, a progress report, the practice calculator or the AI feedback tools is an estimate made for practice. It is not an official IELTS result. The only official result is the one issued by the test provider for a test you sit. Mike is not an IELTS examiner, and Band Booster IELTS is not affiliated with, endorsed by or an agent of IDP, the British Council, Cambridge or any other exam body, university or government.

Lessons

Lessons are one-to-one, live, online on Google Meet. The booking page shows times in your own time zone.
A regular or General English lesson lasts 60 minutes (or 2 hours if you choose the 2-hour option); the paid trial lesson lasts 30 minutes.
A booking is confirmed when your payment is confirmed. A PayPal payment confirms by itself. A bank transfer or a USDT payment holds your time for 24 hours and is confirmed once Mike has checked that the money arrived; the Google Meet link is sent by email after that.
You can change the time of a booked lesson from your account page up to 12 hours before it starts.
Students under 18 may take lessons, but a parent or legal guardian must read and agree to the consent letter before the booking is made.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown on the booking page in your own currency before you pay. Payments are taken by PayPal (charged in US dollars), bank transfer (VND) or USDT. The price you see at the final step is the price you pay. If something goes wrong with a payment, write to Mike at the address below with your booking details.

Lesson packs and online lessons

Online lessons and PDF handouts are for your own study only. Please do not share your account, or copy, record, publish or resell the material. Access is linked to your account. Mike’s lessons and handouts remain his work.

Using the website

The tools on this website (the band score calculator, the Speaking timer and the practice and feedback tools) are study aids. They do not replace official preparation materials or the advice of the test provider. Information about exams, fees, dates and requirements comes from the test provider and the institutions concerned: always check their official pages before you decide.

Your information

How your personal information is collected, used and stored is described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with it. Changes do not affect a lesson you have already booked and paid for.
