What is Band Booster IELTS?
Band Booster IELTS is a one-to-one online IELTS tutoring service run by one teacher, Mike, who is CELTA-certified (Cambridge, July 2017) and based in Hanoi, Vietnam. Lessons are live over Google Meet and cover Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. They are lessons with Mike himself, not an app, a book or a self-study course.
Is my payment actually secure?
Payment is handled directly by PayPal, your bank, or the blockchain — Band Booster IELTS never sees or stores your payment details. You get a receipt from the payment provider as well as from this site.
Who will I actually be talking to?
Mike, directly, every time — the same CELTA-qualified teacher shown in the video above. There's no pool of unnamed tutors and no assistant standing in for a booked session.
What if the trial isn't the right fit?
There's no subscription and nothing to cancel. Book the trial, see how it goes, and only book a regular session if it's useful to you.
Can I get a refund if I miss a session?
You can reschedule if you give at least 12 hours' notice before your slot. Cancellations inside that window aren't refunded, since that time was held for you and blocked from other students.
How much does one-to-one IELTS coaching cost?
In Vietnam a 30-minute trial is 150,000 ₫, once per student, and a 60-minute session is 500,000 ₫. General English is 450,000 ₫ per hour. Book more than 5 regular sessions in one order for 10% off until 31 December 2026, once per student on the first qualifying order. Students in other countries see their own region's price, in their own currency, in the pricing section; some regions pay more than the Vietnam price.
