Is there an IELTS test centre in Nha Trang?
Yes, on the British Council side. When we read the providers' lists and ielts.org on 21 October 2026, the only Nha Trang test venue we found was one British Council venue in Nam Nha Trang ward. IDP Vietnam's Nha Trang test dates page showed no sessions that day, although IDP lists a registration office in the city.
Band Booster IELTS is a private online tutoring service: we do not register candidates or run a venue, and this page gives no fees or test dates, because the providers set and change them.
British Council in Nha Trang: the venue it lists
British Council Vietnam's venue list, a Vietnamese-language page, describes its entries as British Council IELTS venues approved by the Ministry of Education and Training. Under the heading for Khánh Hòa province it has one entry, at Lô STH39.17, Thích Quảng Đức street, Lê Hồng Phong 1 new urban area, Nam Nha Trang ward.
ielts.org's test centre finder splits this centre into two records with the same British Council name and the same address: one is tagged Computer, the other Computer and One Skill Retake. That is one venue shown twice. Both record pages (first record, second record) list the Academic and General Training tests on computer.
Where British Council shows Khánh Hòa dates
British Council's Vietnamese dates, fees and locations page has a Khánh Hòa schedule and links to its booking portal for each venue's detailed schedule; it also asks you to check the registration site for dates that still have places. The English version of that page has a Khanh Hoa table too, but when we read it its rows stopped at April 2026, so the two versions did not match. Use the Vietnamese page and the portal it links to.
We could not open British Council's booking portal, so we have not seen the individual Nha Trang sessions or their Speaking options.
IDP in Nha Trang: a registration office, no sessions shown
On 21 October 2026 IDP Vietnam's Nha Trang test dates page loaded with no sessions and the message “We couldn't find any content with these filters. Please try a broader search.” The page suggests trying another city or venue if no date suits. Other IDP pages we read that day agree:
- The city search on IDP's test locations page did not offer Khánh Hòa or Nha Trang, and no venue in the list on that page had a Khánh Hòa address.
- The 2026 computer test schedule on IDP's 2026 test schedule page has no Nha Trang row.
- ielts.org's finder showed no IDP record with a Khánh Hòa address.
That schedule page also lists IDP's direct registration offices, and one is in Nha Trang: floor 9, Gold Coast building, 01 Trần Hưng Đạo, Nha Trang ward. A registration office is not necessarily a test venue, so if you want to sit with IDP, ask IDP where its nearest session is before you plan the trip.
If Nha Trang does not suit: venues in other provinces
If you want to sit with IDP, or the British Council dates in Nha Trang do not fit, both providers list venues in Đắk Lắk, Gia Lai and Lâm Đồng provinces. The table gives the ward or commune as each list wrote it on 21 October 2026.

One Skill Retake after a test in Nha Trang
On ielts.org the One Skill Retake tag belongs to each record, not to the centre: of the two Nha Trang records, one carries it and one does not.
- British Council's One Skill Retake page says you must have received your results from a test centre that offers it, your full test must be IELTS on Computer or IELTS for UKVI on Computer, you sit the retake within 60 days of the full test, and you can retake one skill once per original test.
- IDP's One Skill Retake page says a retake at a different centre must be run by the same organiser as your original test: if you first booked with IDP, you can retake only at an IDP centre.
- ielts.org tells you to make sure your test centre offers it before you book the full test.
So ask British Council whether the session you want offers One Skill Retake before you pay. More in IELTS One Skill Retake.
Computer test days, paper and Speaking: how each provider words it
Both Nha Trang records on ielts.org list the tests on computer. The providers describe the formats and the Speaking day in different words:
- IDP on paper. IDP's Writing on Paper page says IDP IELTS Vietnam has stopped running IELTS on paper, and that its computer test with Writing on Paper is held at three points, in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.
- IDP on test days and Speaking. IDP's 2026 test schedule page says computer tests run up to seven days a week and that its flexible schedule in the provinces lets you choose your Speaking date. Its Writing on Paper page says Speaking is usually in the other session of the same day, may be the day before at some IDP venues, and is face to face with an examiner.
- IDP on Speaking format. IDP's two pages word Speaking differently. IDP's computer-delivered IELTS article, updated 18 September 2026, says that depending on location and schedule Speaking is either face to face with an examiner or by video call, where you still go to a test location and talk to the examiner over a video system in the test room. It lists face to face for IDP's centres and partner organisers in inner Hanoi, three sites in Ho Chi Minh City and IDP Da Nang, and video call for two other sites in Ho Chi Minh City and for all partner and affiliated organisers in provinces outside Hanoi and Da Nang. IDP shows no Nha Trang session, so we cannot say which format would apply; the article says the format, time and place of Speaking are stated in your confirmation email.
- British Council on formats. Its ways to take IELTS page offers IELTS on computer, or on computer with Writing on Paper, in a test centre. Its Writing on Paper page says it is not available for IELTS for UKVI. ielts.org's Nha Trang records show the format as Computer, so ask whether Writing on Paper is offered for your session.
- British Council on Speaking. Its dates page says you can choose your Speaking slot and format, face to face or by video call. Its booking page adds that on computer, Speaking may fall on the test day or within seven days before or after it, and the test centre confirms the date.

Choosing a venue: what to check
- Provider and address. The Nha Trang venue on the lists we read is British Council's. IDP's office at 01 Trần Hưng Đạo is a registration office unless IDP tells you otherwise.
- Test and format. Pick Academic or General Training, and check whether you need IELTS for UKVI, which neither provider offers with Writing on Paper.
- Retake. If a One Skill Retake might matter, ask about the exact session before you pay.
- Travel. If you go to another province, plan around the start time on your confirmation.
Where online coaching with Mike fits
Band Booster IELTS has no centre in Nha Trang. Lessons are online only: Mike teaches every session himself, one-to-one and live on Google Meet, in English, from Hanoi. He holds the Cambridge CELTA, and his own IELTS result is 7.5 overall with 8.5 in Speaking.
