The short answer: what the sources say about results, the TRF and a re-mark
ielts.com.kw, which describes itself as IDP IELTS Kuwait, says computer-delivered results are available to preview in 1 to 5 days, and that the Test Report Form (TRF) can be collected at the IDP IELTS office in Salmiya or at the location where you took your test. Extra copies to send to organisations are requested through its form. A re-mark, called an Enquiry on Results, can usually be requested within six weeks of your test date, but the sources read for this page word the rules differently, so your centre has the final say.
Pages read on 24 October 2026. Rules change, so check the provider's own page and the message from your centre before you act. This page covers results in general: check IELTS for UKVI with your centre. It quotes no exam fee, re-mark fee, refund amount or test date.
Whose words are these? Each statement below is credited to the site that makes it: ielts.com.kw (which describes itself as IDP IELTS Kuwait), IDP's general guidance as shown on its Kuwait site, or ielts.org. IDP's remark page also tells you to contact your local test centre for fee details, so treat it as general guidance and confirm the rule with your centre. Where the sources differ, this page says so instead of choosing one. It is not advice about your own result.
How soon do computer-delivered results arrive?
Two pages give the same range, with a small difference in wording.
| Source | What it says |
|---|---|
| ielts.com.kw (describes itself as IDP IELTS Kuwait), results page | Computer-delivered results are available to preview in 1 to 5 days. |
| IDP's computer-delivered page, a general IDP page shown on its Kuwait site | Results are available within 1 to 5 business days. |
These are typical timings, not promises. One page says days and the other business days, so ask your centre how it counts them. ielts.com.kw speaks of results being available to preview, and the sources used here give no separate timing for the Test Report Form, so ask the centre what you can see first and when the form is ready.
Collecting your Test Report Form and asking for extra copies
Collecting the form
ielts.com.kw's results page says the Test Report Form can be collected at the IDP IELTS office in Salmiya or at the location where you took your test. This page does not repeat opening hours, say what to bring or state any rule on collecting the form for someone else. The results page on ielts.com.kw lists its own opening hours, so check there and ask the centre. For the ID rules that apply on test day, see Booking IELTS in Kuwait.
Extra copies to send to organisations
ielts.com.kw's TRF page says extra Test Report Forms to send to recognising organisations are requested through its form. It adds that many organisations also accept results sent electronically, and that you should check what your institution prefers. The sources used here do not say what an extra copy costs or how long it takes, and this page quotes no extra-copy fee. Organisations also set their own requirements, including which test type they accept: see Academic or General Training.
A form older than 3 months
ielts.com.kw's home page lists a separate request, "Request TRF (older than 3 months)". The site describes it as a request for an additional copy of a Test Report Form that is older than three months, and says its team will get back to you; it states no fee or timing, so ask the centre. General advice, not a provider rule: if an organisation has a deadline, ask for the form well before it, because the timings on this page are typical, not promised.
Re-marking: the Enquiry on Results
A re-mark is called an Enquiry on Results (EOR). The three sources set out the deadline, the refund and the outcome in different words, and none of them replaces what your centre tells you. The table gives each in its own terms, as read on 24 October 2026.
| Source | What it says about a re-mark |
|---|---|
| ielts.com.kw (describes itself as IDP IELTS Kuwait), Enquiry on Results page | You can usually request it within six weeks of your test date. The fee is refunded if any band score increases. |
| IDP's general remark page, shown on its Kuwait site | The request must be made within six weeks of the date shown on your TRF, through the IDP centre where you took the test (elsewhere the page says within six weeks of sitting your test). After the second assessment, your score stays the same or is higher, depending on a senior examiner's rating, and a new TRF is issued if a mark changes. The enquiry fee is described as fully refunded if your band score changes; another line says it is refunded if your result is changed to a higher band score. Results arrive in 2 hours to 21 days; if there is no response after 28 days, contact the centre. |
| ielts.org, page on cancellations, refunds, remarks and transfers | You pay an Enquiry on Results fee, which is fully refunded if your band score changes. Results can take up to 21 days, and the page says to contact your test centre if you have had no response after 21 days. The page states no deadline for applying. |
Where the wording differs
- The six weeks may start from different dates. ielts.com.kw counts from your test date. IDP's general page words it two ways: within six weeks of sitting the test, and within six weeks of the date shown on your TRF. This page cannot say whether those are the same date for your result.
- One source gives no deadline. ielts.org states none, while the other two give six weeks. General advice: do not treat that silence as permission to wait.
- The refund triggers differ. ielts.com.kw refunds the fee if any band score increases; ielts.org says it is fully refunded if your band score changes. IDP's general page words it both ways: fully refunded if your band score changes, and refunded if your result is changed to a higher band score. Ask your centre which rule it applies.
- The timing and the follow-up date differ. ielts.org says up to 21 days, and to contact your test centre if there is no response after 21 days; IDP's general page says 2 hours to 21 days, and to contact the centre after 28 days. This page takes no re-mark timing from the ielts.com.kw page.
- Where to ask. IDP's general page says to ask through the IDP centre where you took the test. Do the same unless your centre tells you otherwise.
Before you ask for a re-mark
General advice built from the points above, not a provider rule:
- Write down your test date and the date shown on your TRF, and count six weeks from the earlier one.
- Ask the centre where you took the test how to apply, which rule it applies and how the refund works, and keep its answer in writing.
- Check the deadline of the organisation waiting for your result. A re-mark can take up to 21 days, so allow time. To chase a missing reply, ielts.org says 21 days and IDP's general page says 28, so ask your centre and do not wait longer than the shorter figure.
- Remember that a re-mark is a request, not a promise: IDP's general page says the score either stays the same or is higher.
- Think about whether sitting again would suit you better. One Skill Retake or a full retake is a different route from a re-mark.
How long a result stays valid
ielts.com.kw's home page says IELTS results are valid for 2 years. The organisation that receives your result sets its own policy, so ask the university, employer or authority how old a result it will accept and from which date it counts. Then plan backwards from its deadline, allowing for any extra forms and a re-mark wait of up to 21 days.
Reading your result: four skills and an overall band
Your result gives a band from 0 to 9, in half-band steps, for each of Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. The overall band is the average of the four, rounded to the nearest half band: a .25 remainder rounds up to the next half band and a .75 remainder rounds up to the next whole band. The band score calculator does the sum for you.
Writing and Speaking are each marked on four equally weighted criteria, and Task 2 counts twice as much as Task 1 in the Writing band.
Where Band Booster fits, and what it does not do
Band Booster IELTS is a private online tutor, not a test centre. It does not register you for the test, set exam fees or dates, issue, hold or send results or Test Report Forms, or handle a re-mark request, and it is not connected to IDP, the British Council, ielts.com.kw, any university or any government body. Requests about your result go to the centre where you took the test.
What it offers is preparation. Mike teaches every lesson himself, one-to-one and live on Google Meet in English. He holds the Cambridge CELTA, is based in Hanoi and scored 8.5 in Speaking in his own IELTS (about Mike). Speaking is practised in the real three-part format, and Writing answers you write to a time limit are marked against the public band descriptors, with feedback during the session. See IELTS Speaking coaching and IELTS Writing feedback.
Kuwait is in a higher regional price tier than Vietnam, and the booking page shows your price in your own currency before you pay. A paid 30-minute trial can be taken once, on your first booking. You can reschedule a lesson at no charge up to 12 hours before the slot; that rule covers lessons only, not test bookings or re-mark requests. No band is promised: progress depends on your starting point and the work you do between sessions. The online IELTS tutor page for Kuwait City sets out the time difference with Hanoi.
