Who teaches every session
Every lesson is taught by Mike himself, so you work with the same teacher each time. He holds the Cambridge CELTA, has 12+ years of teaching English and IELTS in Vietnam, Turkey and Iran, teaches from Hanoi, and scored 8.5 in Speaking in his own IELTS. About Mike has more detail.
How a lesson works
- Open the booking calendar and pick a slot. Every time is shown in your own time zone.
- See your price, then pay with PayPal or USDT.
- Receive the Google Meet link and calendar invite by email right after payment.
- Have your live one-to-one lesson in English, with feedback during the session.
- Find written progress notes in your account afterwards.
A session can cover Listening, Reading, Writing or Speaking, on their own or mixed. Mike marks Writing Task 1 and Task 2 against the public band descriptors and runs Speaking Parts 1 to 3 in the real format, giving feedback in the moment rather than days later. There is no fixed course, and no band score or timeline is promised: progress depends on your starting point and the work you do between lessons.
The time difference between Romania and Hanoi
Romania uses EET (UTC+2) in winter and EEST (UTC+3) in summer. Hanoi stays on UTC+7 all year with no daylight saving. The gap therefore changes twice a year. On the clock change, the European Commission says Member States start summer time on the last Sunday of March and return to winter time on the last Sunday of October.
| Time in Hanoi | In Romania, winter | In Romania, summer |
|---|---|---|
| 13:00 | 08:00 | 09:00 |
| 19:00 | 14:00 | 15:00 |
| 23:00 | 18:00 | 19:00 |
You do not have to calculate this yourself. The calendar on the booking page lists every slot in your own time zone. Mike's calendar decides which slots are open and no particular hours are promised, so if you can study only at fixed times, check it first. If you book a lesson in the weeks around a clock change, look at the time shown on your calendar invite.
Booking and paying from Romania
The exact amount is shown on the booking page before payment. You can pay with PayPal, using a card through PayPal if you prefer, or with USDT. PayPal charges the US-dollar equivalent of the amount shown. The paid 30-minute trial is available once per student, on the first booking. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian first agrees to a short consent letter before the booking is made.
Booking the IELTS test in Romania
Band Booster teaches; it does not run the test, register candidates or set test fees. You book the real IELTS with a test provider. Check the current dates, formats and fees on the provider's own page, because they can change.
- IDP IELTS Romania: its test-dates page shows 14 test centres in Romania, and says you can book online or at a local IDP branch.
- The ielts.org centre directory for Romania: lists centres in Bucharest, Brașov, Iași, Cluj-Napoca, Timișoara, Constanța and Arad, each labelled computer, with One Skill Retake, plus two IELTS Online entries booked through IDP and through the British Council. Only the British Council Telecom Academy entries in Bucharest carry the UKVI Approved label.
The sources differ in two ways. IDP's page says you can choose between IELTS on computer and on paper, while the ielts.org directory labels every Romanian centre as computer and none as paper. The two lists also do not show exactly the same centres, and some ielts.org entries are run by neither IDP nor the British Council. Check on the provider's page who runs your centre, and confirm the format for your date when you book. The guides on choosing an online IELTS tutor and Academic or General Training may help before you register.

How lessons with Mike can help
Lessons suit you if you want a teacher focused on one person: your Writing marked against the band descriptors, Speaking practised in the real three-part format, and sessions booked around your own week. They do not replace the official test, and they do not control your result. When you are ready, pick a slot on the booking page and check the time in your own zone.
