IELTS Tutor for Da Nang: Online One-to-One with Mike

Band Booster IELTS teaches IELTS one-to-one and online for students in Da Nang. Mike, a CELTA-certified teacher with his own 8.5 in IELTS Speaking, teaches live over Google Meet from Hanoi, and there are no in-person lessons in Da Nang. Hanoi and Da Nang share the same time zone (UTC+7); a 60-minute session costs 500,000 ₫ and a paid 30-minute trial costs 150,000 ₫.

Online lessons with Mike, not in Da Nang

Every Band Booster IELTS lesson is one-to-one and online, over Google Meet (see online IELTS tutoring in Vietnam). Mike teaches from Hanoi, and there are no in-person lessons or classes in Da Nang or anywhere else.

All of Vietnam shares one time zone, UTC+7, with no daylight saving, so the time in Hanoi is the time in Da Nang and you have nothing to convert.

Online one-to-one, or a class in Da Nang?

Online one-to-one usually suits you if you know which skill is holding your band down, want corrections during the lesson and can follow lessons taught in English. An in-person class in Da Nang may suit you better if you do well with a class atmosphere and a fixed timetable, need explanations in Vietnamese (see IELTS from scratch), dislike learning through a screen, or would rather pay for a whole course. For a fuller comparison, read private tutor or group course.

Taking IELTS in Da Nang: what the test providers say

Band Booster IELTS is a private tutor, not the exam board or a test centre. It is not part of IDP or the British Council and does not register candidates or set exam fees.

This section summarises what IDP Vietnam, British Council Vietnam and ielts.org said on their pages in early October 2026. Venues and sessions change, so open the linked provider pages before you book. No exam fees or dates are quoted here; see IELTS test dates and fees (Hanoi-focused).

Which test venues are in Da Nang?

ProviderVenue as listedWhat ielts.org shows
IDPIDP Ngô Gia Tự, Hải Châu ward (ielts.org calls it IDP IELTS Vietnam Da Nang)Computer; Computer (Writing on Paper); One Skill Retake
British CouncilOne venue, in Cẩm Lệ ward (its name and address are on British Council's venue list, in Vietnamese)Computer; listed twice, one entry also tagged One Skill Retake and the other not

British Council's venue list says the venues on it are approved by Vietnam's Ministry of Education and Training to co-organise the test. IDP's Hanoi test-dates page names seven venues where Speaking is held and British Council lists four venues in Hanoi, whereas each provider lists one venue in Da Nang, so there is less choice here. Being on a venue list does not show that sessions are open to book: look at the sessions on IDP's Da Nang test-dates page and check availability in British Council's registration system.

Test format and Speaking in Da Nang

The general picture of the computer test is on the computer-delivered IELTS page (written with Hanoi in mind).

Speaking may fall on a different day

British Council says Speaking can be on the same day as the other papers or on another day within a seven-day window before or after your main test date. IDP's Da Nang venue page also says Speaking may come before or after the other three skills, depending on the venue's schedule, although the same page mentions finishing all four skills in one day. Do not assume a single day: look for the Speaking date in your confirmation email, especially if you are travelling to Da Nang from elsewhere.

One Skill Retake

IDP marks IDP Ngô Gia Tự as a venue that supports One Skill Retake (see IDP's rules). For British Council's Da Nang venue it is unclear: ielts.org tags one of its two listings with One Skill Retake and not the other, so ask British Council before you rely on it. The providers also word the 60-day rule differently (IDP: register within 60 days of the original test; British Council: sit the retake within 60 days of the full test), and where you can retake, compared with where you sat the original, is another point to confirm. The conditions are set out on the One Skill Retake page.

Results

IDP's Da Nang venue page says computer results arrive in about 2 days, while its session cards say "Results in 1 to 5 days". Treat both as typical timings, not promises.

If the Da Nang dates do not suit

ielts.org also lists computer-delivered venues in Hue (British Council and IDP) and Quang Ngai (IDP). The providers' pages give no distances, so work out the travel yourself and confirm the format and One Skill Retake with the provider.

Common questions

Is Mike an IELTS tutor in Da Nang, and is there a time difference with Hanoi?

Lessons are online. Every Band Booster IELTS lesson is one-to-one over Google Meet, taught by Mike from Hanoi, and there are no in-person lessons or classes in Da Nang. All of Vietnam uses UTC+7 with no daylight saving, so Da Nang and Hanoi always show the same time, and the booking calendar displays slots in your own time zone. If you want to study face to face, an in-person class in Da Nang may suit you better.

How much does an online IELTS tutor cost for students in Da Nang?

For students in Vietnam, a 60-minute session is 500,000 ₫ and the paid 30-minute trial is 150,000 ₫, taken once on your first booking. There is no required package and no subscription. Payment options are shown on the booking page.

Where can I take IELTS in Da Nang?

When the providers' pages were read in early October 2026, IDP listed one venue (IDP Ngô Gia Tự, Hải Châu ward) and British Council listed one (in Cẩm Lệ ward; its name and address are on British Council's venue list). Being on a list does not show that sessions are open to book, and venues and sessions change, so check IDP, British Council or ielts.org before booking. Band Booster does not register candidates for the test.

Is IELTS in Da Nang on computer, and is Speaking face to face?

The IDP session list for Da Nang shows IELTS on computer; in early October 2026 the sessions listed included both Writing on computer and Writing on paper. IDP states that Speaking is face to face with an examiner at its Da Nang venue. For British Council's Da Nang venue, ielts.org lists Computer only and does not show Writing on Paper, and the pages do not state a Speaking format for that venue specifically, so ask British Council when you book.

Can I retake just one skill in Da Nang?

IDP marks its Da Nang venue as supporting One Skill Retake. For British Council's venue it is unclear, because ielts.org tags one of its two listings and not the other, so ask British Council before relying on it. The providers word the 60-day rule differently, and where you can retake compared with where you sat the original test is also worth confirming. This page quotes no fees.

Should I choose online one-to-one or an in-person class in Da Nang?

Online one-to-one suits you if you know which skill is holding your band down, want corrections during the lesson and can follow lessons in English. A class in Da Nang may suit you better if you want a fixed timetable and class atmosphere, need explanations in Vietnamese, or prefer to pay for a whole course. The paid 30-minute trial at 150,000 ₫ lets you try the online format before booking more.
